Under Indian Constitution Article-200 Honorable Governor used his power to establish UP Higher Education Service Commission on 1st October, 1980 after approval of UP Higher Education Service Commission ordinance-1980 issued by Uttar Pradesh Legislature.
Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission is a body corporate which started working on November 1, 1982.

Recruitment procedure started on 1150 vacant posts of Assistant Professor

From Wednesday state government has started recruitment procedure on 1150 vacant posts in several state universities. Higher Education Service Commission had issued advertisement regarding this. Maximum posts are available for Social Science (273). Applications are invited by online process only. Last date for applying online is 14 July. Significantly Higher Education Department had not made any kind of recruitment in universities for vacant posts in last 6 years. ...
